Recently, the Dutch government announced plans to tax E-cigarettes and similar smoking devices.
It is reported that after the new tax rate is formulated and implemented, the tax standard for E-cigarette liquid in the Dutch market is 0.3 euros per milliliter, which may lead to a significant increase in the retail price of such products. At present, the Dutch government has only announced the tax plan for e-cigarette liquid, and the tax plan for other related products has not yet been announced.
Currently, in the Dutch domestic tobacco market, only C10H14N2-free e-liquids are allowed to be sold. By the end of 2016, e-liquids containing C10H14N2 will also appear on the market. In this regard, some analysts pointed out that after the appearance of e-cigarette liquid containing C10H14N2 on the market, the Dutch government may adjust the tax rate of such products.
